Systray AI — Dashboard Redesign: 5 Directions

Each is a complete rethink — different user flow AND different design language. All GTK3 + CSS (Cinnamon-native, inherits Mint-Y accent). Click the one(s) you like; hesitation clicks are fine.

1 · Provider Tabs — "One glance, one provider"

Flow: tray click → compact popup, one tab per provider (badge shows accounts needing attention). Card = quota-first; all secondary actions (rename/re-auth/remove) collapse into a ⋮ menu. Only contextual primary action shows inline (Set Default on non-default, Fix on broken).
Design language: native Mint-Y flat, GtkStackSwitcher tabs, white cards on window gray. Closest evolution of what exists — smallest retrain cost.
Kills pain: action overload (⋮ menu), no hierarchy (quota dominates, destructive hidden), settings gets a real ⚙ entry.

2 · Master–Detail App — "The control center"

Flow: proper resizable window (not popup). Sidebar = live nav: every account with inline status glyph + usage %, problems tinted. Click account → full detail page (big quota, history, all actions). Overview = grid of mini-cards. Settings is a first-class page.
Design language: GNOME/Nautilus-style paned app with headerbar. Feels like a "real app", scales to many accounts.
Kills pain: popup positioning/focus-dismiss entirely gone (normal window), room for settings + future features, sidebar doubles as status summary.

← glance popup

click row = set default
double-click / "Manage" = full manager window (like Design 2)

3 · Glance Strip + Manager — "Applet feel"

Flow: two surfaces with strict roles. Tray popup = pure glance + switch: one thin row per account (status dot, name, micro 5h/7d bars), single click sets default — the #1 daily action costs one click. Anything else → "Manage accounts…" opens a full window. Broken account rows grow a Fix button.
Design language: Cinnamon applet menu (like sound/network applets) — borderless list rows, zero chrome, instantly native.
Kills pain: daily switching is fastest possible; popup can't get overloaded because management lives elsewhere; reads like part of the desktop, not an app.

4 · Attention Inbox — "Tell me what needs me"

Flow: inverted hierarchy — popup is an inbox of actionable items, not an account list. Problems float to top as banner cards with one suggested action each (Switch now / Repair). Healthy accounts collapse to a two-line footer. Empty inbox = "All good ✓" + quota summary. The app proactively computes the fix ("switch to work").
Design language: GNOME notification/banner style, suggested-action green buttons, strong severity color coding.
Kills pain: zero scanning — the UI does the triage. Best UX when the real job is "keep me unblocked on rate limits", not "browse accounts".

5 · Quota Monitor — "htop for AI accounts"

Flow: monitoring-first dark dashboard. Grid of live donut gauges (5h ring + 7d mono-bar), reset-countdown timeline, event feed (breaches, reloads). Click gauge → radial/context action menu (default/reload/repair). Star = default.
Design language: system-monitor aesthetic — dark, mono numerals, color = severity. Follows Mint-Y-Dark so still native.
Kills pain: quota IS the interface (matches the limit-warning badge story); reset timeline answers "when am I unblocked?" — data no current view shows.

Also answer in terminal (or click multiple)

Pick a winner, or a hybrid ("2's window + 4's attention inbox as its overview"). All five assume: componentized GTK widgets + one app-scoped CSS provider, settings surface, popup logic isolated from controller.
