Hybrid: Design 1 layout · Design 2 buttons · Design 4 alerts tab

Same popup shown in two tab states. Your message cut off at "with…" — if something else was meant to be included, say it in terminal. Your clicks also lingered on Design 3 (one-click switch) — see question at bottom.

Spec summary

Tabs: ⚠ Alerts + one per provider. Alerts = Design 4's attention inbox (banner per problem, one suggested action, healthy accounts collapsed). Provider tabs = Design 1's quota-first cards. Badges on tabs = count needing attention. Popup opens on Alerts tab when non-empty, else last-used provider tab.
Buttons (Design 2 language): green filled = suggested action (Switch/Set Default/Repair on broken), quiet bordered = neutral (Reload All), flat green text = additive (+ Add), destructive (Remove) only inside ⋮ menu with confirm.
opens real Settings (auto-close toggle, refresh interval, warning threshold).

One open question — your clicks lingered on Design 3

A

Add Design 3's one-click switch

Clicking anywhere on an account card sets it default (with 1s undo toast). Fastest daily flow; buttons stay for everything else.

B

Buttons only

Switching default requires the explicit "Set Default" button. No accidental switches; card clicks do nothing.

Systray AI — Dashboard Redesign: 5 Directions

Each is a complete rethink — different user flow AND different design language. All GTK3 + CSS (Cinnamon-native, inherits Mint-Y accent). Click the one(s) you like; hesitation clicks are fine.

1 · Provider Tabs — "One glance, one provider"

Flow: tray click → compact popup, one tab per provider (badge shows accounts needing attention). Card = quota-first; all secondary actions (rename/re-auth/remove) collapse into a ⋮ menu. Only contextual primary action shows inline (Set Default on non-default, Fix on broken).
Design language: native Mint-Y flat, GtkStackSwitcher tabs, white cards on window gray. Closest evolution of what exists — smallest retrain cost.
Kills pain: action overload (⋮ menu), no hierarchy (quota dominates, destructive hidden), settings gets a real ⚙ entry.
